Present Original Painting
Bulgarian artist Ekaterina Andreeva - 'Kati' shares with us: This painting represent a corridor in a institution building in Sofia. This type of space remind us about old communist architecture.
In my work I tried to present the collision between past and future by combining the severity of the lines with expressive brush strokes. This is a place which brings memories of the past, but still full of life.

Ekaterina Andreeva created this beautiful painting using tempera paint. Tempera painting is executed with pigment ground in a water-miscible medium.
Traditional tempera paint is an ancient medium, having been in constant use in most of the world’s cultures until it was gradually superseded by oil paints in Europe, during the Renaissance.
Tempera was used to decorate the early Christian catacombs, as well as mummy cases, papyrus rolls and the vellum leaves of medieval illuminated manuscripts.
