The Dream Catcher is an artefact from the North America amerindian culture, and is part of many legends, varying from one tribe to another, but that of the Objibwe tribe attracts attention:
According to this Indian tribe in Canada, a spider was weaving its web over the children to protect them and capture their bad dreams, which fade in the morning. When the tribe grew and the spider could no longer protect all the children, she asked the women for help. They then started to weave spider-web-like patterns into a wooden ring.
