Carved out of mahogany wood and carefully polished, this statuette represents a shaman in a squatting position with his hands on his knees.It is inspired by traditional Taino art, the Taino Indians being the people who occupied the Dominican Republic, as well as a large part of the Caribbean, before the arrival of the Europeans.
